God raises two men up. He gives them supernatural authority, and power. Without that, they would be killed. They carry on a public ministry in the time when there is an all-out attempt to execute all Jews and all believers. Their message is of judgment and doom. They speak about the judgments that God is and will be pouring out, and the return of Christ at Armageddon. Their ministry is also to call the nation Israel to repentance. They will survive 'til the end of this 3 1/2 year period and then they will be martyred.
