This portion of the Scripture deals 'the Jews' personal attack on Jesus. They had earlier privately accused Him of being born of fornication in verse 41.
Now they are accusing Him of being a Samaritan and having a demon. He rebukes them and simply states that they are incorrect. Then Christ tells them that if they keep His sayings they shall never see death, but it is not natural death He is speaking of, but the second death.
