The only people who will be saved, either Jew or Gentile, will be those saved by Jesus Christ. All of the sacrifices in the past were to remind the Jews that they were transgressors who needed to be cleansed. Now, with Christ, sin is taken away. If we believe with our hearts, we will learn to live a life that says Jesus is our Lord, our Boss, Master, and Savior. Jesus is not only a historical figure, but He is alive and He must be Lord and worshiped as such. We must believe in our hearts that God has raised Jesus to life and that Jesus is living right now. If a person is one of the elect, they will cry out to God for mercy. In the same way, if someone is truly beseeching the Lord to save them, they are part of the elect. The only people who receive God’s mercy are those who know that there is no other hope. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved! Naturally, we don’t want God, because we want to do things in our own way. We all begin life in this natural state. We need to be born again. God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. By God’s grace, He has chosen a remnant of people to be saved. Anyone who persists in unbelief will not be saved. At one time we all were unsaved. Corpses do not feel pain. The only way to be saved is by God saving us. God is the one who saves.
