The authority and anointing that the church had on the day of Pentecost had nothing to do with ability or even learning. These were men and women that had truly for sake of all to follow Christ. The promises of God are conditional and there is no promise for those who want a soft religion so they can have personal peace and prosperity. If the cry of our heart truly is 'Lord I surrender all' then He will come cleanse us and lead us. His mercy and love will begin to flow in us and through us and perhaps He will bring such a visitation of His presence and power that will transform the life and ministry of this church.
