Jesus Christ is the "Son of Man." But what does that title mean? What does it tell us of nature, person and work of Jesus? It says far more than simply Jesus was a man. In fact, it speaks as much, or more, of his divinity – that he is God! He is one portrayed in Daniel's vision who was given dominion and glory above all others. And we are told he is the one who came to seek and save the lost. Yet, from his own lips we hear the Son of Man declare that he must suffer and die and be raised to life. This is how he exercises his power and defeats his enemies. This is how he saves lost and helpless sinners. This is how he is given the name above all names.
