In this section we see a dimension of Paul's life and an aspect of his personality which appears in his other writings as well- righteous anger. Paul has no patience, tolerance or openness to those who would promote such a message. The whole letter to the Galatians was written to combat that very heresy. Paul opens that letter in the first chapter by declaring that anyone who preached any other gospel than the gospel he preached- the gospel of grace, of salvation by faith alone-is under the curse of God. He went on to say that he didn't care if it were angels who preached such a gospel, they are under a curse as well. He knew that only fallen angels, demonic beings who themselves were destined to hell, would preach such a gospel.
