Paul responds with stern words of warning that to receive another gospel is to desert God and return to the ranks of the devil. This the false convert will do while carrying on the facade of being a Christian. The genuine believers who are called, they will be saved. Nonetheless, they were in danger of forfeiting blessings, having their spiritual growth thwarted, and to be disciplined by the Lord.
