“We Are All Theonomists Now!” Part 1 -The Sovereign Law Giver.
1) The foundation of our Faith must be the God of the Bible. Jesus Christ must be the Rock upon which the Individual, Family, Church, School, Economy, and State must be built upon. Jesus Christ left his Church with a Christian principal of law as a guide for sanctification. (John 13:31-35; Matthew 5:13-20; 27-32)
2) Why would a Christian saved by Grace through faith want to follow a Non-Christian system of Law? Can a born again Christian glorify God through Sharia law, Communism, Nazi Socialism, Humanism? Why are those Christians who desire to follow Biblical law called legalists? (Romans 6:15-23)
3) The Christian Church must once again grow up and disciple individuals, families, and Nations in the ways of righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:10-16; Deuteronomy 4:1-8)

“ Amen! Amen! ” Yes! Since sin is the transgression of the Law and we are supposed to be putting off the old man of sin, we should be becoming increasingly obedient to God's Law. This is the pattern of sanctification - walking as He walked in obedience. No, we do not thereby earn our salvation, but rather through the enabling of the Holy Spirit through the washing of the Word we are made over in the image of Christ - we walk ever more obediently out of love for God.
Oh, let us be careful to not mistake the traditions of men for the Law of God! Let us be careful to not add to nor take away from His Law, His Torah (teaching, instruction on how we should live).

“ Great Sermon! ” The news item you shared of the man and his dog in Brooklyn made me sick to my core. Our God-rejecting society is embracing evil at such an alarming rate. Our acceptance of fornication, led to acceptance of homosexuality, now to opening the door to acceptance of bestiality and pedophilia. God's perfect law is our safety and protection and keeps a society truly free, punishing the wicked and protecting the innocent. All other forms of government oppress, enslave and brutalize their people. This was a tremendous sermon. Thank you Brother Rubino.
