Each day we face countless decisions—some small and routine, others weighty and far-reaching. The outcome of these decisions shapes our lives and influences those around us. As believers, the key to navigating life's challenges and opportunities is not found in our own strength or wisdom, but in seeking fresh truth and grace from God each day. His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23), and His wisdom is available to all who ask in faith (James 1:5). Yet, many believers struggle to walk in victory because they lean on their own understanding instead of seeking God's direction.
One of the greatest dangers we face is the temptation to rely on past victories or human reasoning instead of seeking God's fresh guidance. The enemy is subtle, and deception often comes in the form of half-truths or appealing opportunities that look harmless or even beneficial. We are most vulnerable when we grow comfortable and confident in our own judgment rather than humbly depending on the Lord.
Yesterday's triumphs can't replace hearing and having a fresh word for today's battles.
The only free dynamics of salvation is the fact that Jesus paid the price we couldn't and we get to offer it freely to those who couldn't earn it either. But other than that salvation cost. It cost Jesus everything… everything He did, every single aspect of His life was lived to pay the price we couldn't. And it will cost us everything to trust that He gave it all — for all of us. There is no surrender with conditions.
