Some states have "BRING BACK THE WOLVES!" movements in them. Some churches do too. The shepherds in those states know wolves are their natural enemies. Under-shepherds in Christ's Church know it too. Genuine under-shepherds don't pet the wolves and don't invite them in to devour Christ's blood bought flock, they put wolves out and expose them for the protection of the flock. Faithful under-shepherds aren't fooled by sheep's clothing, they see the wolfish fangs of theological and moral corruption beneath and take the Sword of the Spirit to the wolf. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits." -Matthew 7:15-16
"They are very dangerous...we can all become easy prey to these people...So "Beware" it says...They're dangerous, they pervert the mind, they poison the soul...we see the results of what they do in 2 Peter: 'Many people follow their pernicious ways.'" -John MacArthur
"They are dangerous, they are clever. You'd be better off to embrace a cobra. You'd be better off to crawl in bed with a hungry lion. You'd be better off to drink a bottle of poison than to come near a false prophet." -John MacArthur, on the danger of wolves in sheep's clothing
