Both of these men believed what God had said all the way till the end. Even though they were about to step off into eternity they believed the promises of God. These men show us that no matter how hard the path, it is worth the while to trust God. Such faith God honors. He loves to see people come to worship and He strengthens and blesses such desire. Jacob despite all his ailments wanted to go worship. Joseph had faith that despite all the years he had had to live in Egypt that Egypt wasn't all there was. He saw a time when God's people were getting out of there. Do we have such faith? One day Jesus is coming back and this world won't be all there is for us. We need to have that faith, till the end, in our living God.
