Now the solution is offered for that guilt and condemnation status before God. God's righteousness demanded the penalty for sin be paid - so He paid it Himself. The righteousness of God has been revealed in the person and work of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Falling far, far short of God's standard, mankind's only hope is to trust in the One who did keep that standard and died for those who did not.
The righteousness sinful man needs to be justified before God is appropriated by faith in Christ. By faith in Christ alone, His dying on the cross as the penalty for sin is credited to the believing individual's account before God.
This kind of faith then acts in complete trust and dependence upon Him.
