Saul's experiences immediately after his conversion demonstrate a few things:
1. Any believer can and should evangelize, and the best time for the church to encourage believers to evangelize is when they first get saved and are already excited about telling others what Christ has done for them. We must be careful not to stifle this enthusiasm, even knowing there will be times to nudge them along and guide them in their theological and spiritual growth.
2. The seemingly different timelines indicated by Luke in this passage and by Saul/Paul in Galatians 1:11-2:10 actually mesh exceptionally well. There is no contradiction there.
3. Saul (and the entire church, really) benefited greatly from the role Barnabas played here in advocating for Saul with the apostles and the rest of the church.
