“ To God Be the Glory ” Great and solid Biblical points. One I’ll add is around God’s total sovereignty in the salvation of men. When most unconverted sinners hear that God has absolute right to open the door of everlasting life for some and shut it before others, they often declare “that’s not fair!” Part of the problem is only converted hearts revere and accept God’s Sovereignty in controlling men’s destinies. The other is unconverted souls perceive God as a man like unto them. So indeed if it were just a man based on his own faulty human intellect or character determining who he would rescue, then yes this would be unfair. But what the unconverted fail to understand and recognize time and again is God’s declaration of Himself that He is not like sinful man, not prone to his fallen prejudices or selfish lusts, but instead holy in character, purpose and will whom man can trust alone for fairness and justice. He is our all-wise and all-powerful Creator and therefore righteous Judge. To Him be the glory, and so let us never cry “unfair” but instead Amen Lord, Amen!
