I believe that it will be good at this time before we partake of the Lord's Supper, to consider this truth – That Christ died for us to bring to us a secret word of God's love and His regard for each of his dear people in the time of their afflictions. In order that we would be strong spiritually, our God would have us to have the highest regard for what Christ has done for us by His righteousness and His death so that we would find His peace and His consolation during the time of our afflictions and oppositions from men and the devil. May we rejoice at this hour in the strength of Christ's ability to speak peace to our hearts, while we are undergoing various trials and testings of our faith.
