I want to show you 1st, the time when heaven was opened to the Patriarch Jacob and what this meant to him in terms of being shown greater spiritual things. And then I want to show you 2nd, what this phrase, “you shall see heaven open” meant to Nathaniel as a disciple of Jesus Christ. This will, I think, give you a greater understanding of how Christ works to build faith and obedience to Himself and His Word in the lives of His saints.
