In the book of Judges God repeatedly uses people to deliver the Israelites when they called out to Him. The birth of Samson was a miracle. Children are a gift of the Lord and God is in control of all things. God is able to instantly heal, however, we need to understand that God is God and He does what is best at the time He chooses. Miracles are attached to obedience. We should not try to see how close to the edge that we can get to sin. If you want to avoid getting burned, stay far enough away from the fire, that if you fall toward the fire and reach out your hand, you will not be able to touch the fire. We need to have the attitude where if we are in doubt, don't. As is often the case, when the Angel of the Lord showed up, Samson's parents do not realize what was really going on. Samson got his supernatural strength from the Lord and it started with obedience. When God was ready to deliver His people He told them what to do.
