When he says, "For so the Lord has commanded us." He took that passage in Isaiah 49 and verse six, personal, the Lord has commanded us to be, one, that he has set us or ordained us to be as a light, not the light, but as a light to the Gentiles, that we should be for salvation, not my salvation, but for salvation to the ends of the earth. I just like how he personalizes it, how he takes that Old Testament passage, in reference to Christ. And he realizes that we've been crucified with Christ. That we no longer live, and the life we live in the flesh, we live by faith in the Son of God, who gave himself for us. He applied this passage onto himself, not just him, though, but he applied it to him and Barnabas, that God has ordained us, he has appointed us, he has set us, he has fixed us, to be the light unto the nations, that we should be for salvation to the ends of the earth…"
