How were the Galatians to know what it was to be “perfected” by the Spirit? (Ga 3:3) How does one know the work of the Spirit? Ultimately, isn't this what Paul is urging his readers to see and understand? Paul has given a broad, general, imperative, a command, a directive: "walk by the Spirit" (Ga 5:16). Once again, the reader must ask, "What does that look like"? Paul has listed them here. Those who will inherit the kingdom of God, as opposed to those who will suffer His wrath, may be identified by their lives of Spirit-filled works of grace.
