Reply to 'Reply to Benjamin' You don't know me. I know who Gipp's teacher is. I am not "disciple of Ruckmanites." I know Ruckman's teaching, and I DESPISE his "advanced revelation" nonsense. Jesus Christ alone is my "hero." I believe Gipp has some great information to offer in his writings. Just because he was under Ruckman's direct teaching doesn't mean he's as much of a "Ruckmanite" as one would expect. Just look at his "Understandable History"! Every pig has its bacon. Just because "Ruckman...calls them what I call them" doesn't mean he's right. The point remains: the different editions are EDITIONS, not "revisions." Every single change is the correction of a typo. This cannot compare to the TENS OF THOUSANDS of differences between different revisions of modern bibles (which come out every decade or two). You find altogether different readings, often without the copyright date even changing. See different NKJVs in Zach. 13:6. See also Will Kinney, "Ever Changing ESVs" (brandplucked.webs.com) and Laurence Vance, "Double Jeopardy." "Which KJV do you use, hmmm???" Well, which NKJV? Which ESV? Which NASB? Which NIV? ("Ill-informed, huh?) Again: I am not a fan of Ruckman. I haven't read his books yet, and I don't look forward to it.

Reply to Benjamin You are ill-informed disciple of the Ruckmanites. I say "ill-informed" because your hero, Sam Gipp's teacher, Peter S. Ruckman, wrote a booklet about the revisions. I own it. He calls them what I call them.

Reply to Bill There is no such thing as KJV "revisions." See Sam Gipp, "Answer Book," question #5. He that answerETH a matter before he hearETH it, it is folly and shame unto him.

Reply to Dan If it is true as you say...then what is "Satan's version?"
If the "KJV is 'the Perfect Way'," which revision?

We only have copies! One who hates the Word of God so much is Satan and the only way he can destroy it, since it's indestructible, is to author his own version - the modern versions. Praise God He himself promised to preserve His own word and He preserved it His way- the Perfect Way(KJV).

Amen! and Amen! What an honest, brave and sorely needed dose of reality regarding the King James Version among other translation. I have to think this will be one of those messages I will revisit from time to for the liberty it brings into my life in serving the Lord Jesus Christ in the preachng of the Gospel.

Solid and Excellent There was so much that caused me to say "amen" over and over as I heard this. There was so much common sense brought to an issue that often has too much misguided zeal. King James Only-ism. But I also like the way Pastor Harris communicates in his teaching. I usually only listen to the news in focus material so I had not, until now, seen how gifted he is as a speaker. I really enjoy listening to you pastors.
