Let us understand that our obedience to the truth of the gospel is all the obedience that we need to be saved from our sins. If we add anything to the finished work of Christ, as the basis for our being saved, it will place us on the ground of legalism and we will lose our soul. But let us also understand that it is also possible for a true Christian to be deceived by a false teacher; to come to have false notions of how they should live the Christian life. This may happen if they do not reject the false doctrines of moralism, ritualism, and sacramentalism, which are based upon a works-righteousness mentality. And 3rd – Letting a little leaven into the whole lump of dough will most certainly hinder you. Let’s see whether we can understand how to lead an unhindered Christian life.
