The Bible talks a great deal about the history of the world, especially the history of a particular group of people, the nation of Israel. There are hundreds of books proving the Bible's accounts of history, and there are hundreds of proofs of the countless prophecies regarding the nation of Israel. Throughout all of the nation's history, Israel has fought wars, taken and lost land, been forced into slavery, and have destroyed enemies. Israel's history, at the divine instruction of God, has been a bloody one. There is very, very little grace or love displayed. The same will be true in the Tribulation. However, from the moment Christ set foot upon the earth until the moment He takes His Church to Heaven, there is a massive shift in focus. The Church is never told to conquer, but rather to love. We are instructed to witness to and care for others as Christ witnessed to and cared for the world. Why is that? What is this time called? What is different? Praise the LORD, the Bible offers to anyone who wishes to know those answers!
