Have you ever wondered who will go through the Tribulation? The Bible talks about something called the Seventy Weeks of Daniel. This is clearly explained through prophecy and history. However, one week has not occurred yet; one period of seven years is missing from the history books. Why? The Bible tells us that Daniel's Seventieth Week—seven years—is a time of tribulation, judgment, and sorrow. This is called the Great Tribulation. Prophecy shows us that people called "The Elect" will be preserved and protected during this horrible suffering. They will still be affected, certainly, but they will survive by God's mercies and grace. Who are the Elect? Is this the church? We've been taught so. Is every Christian pre-selected by God Himself to be "special" and "unique"—an invitation only club? Certainly not! Christ died for ALL people, not just a select few.
