Revelation Lesson # 005 MYSTERY: The stars and candlesticks are defined, but a mystery is still mentioned. There are several mysteries found in the Bible. Some of the major ones are as follows: 1. The mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 13:3–50). 2. The mystery of the Kingdom of God (Mark 4:11). 3. The mystery of Israel's Blindness (Romans 11:25). 4. The mystery of the Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51–52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). 5. The mystery of His will (Ephesians 1:9-11) 6. The mystery of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 3:1–11; Romans 16:25; Colossians 4:3). 7. The mystery of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:28–32). 8. The mystery of the Indwelling Christ (Colossians 1:27). 9. The mystery of God and Christ (Colossians 2:2–3, 9). 10. The mystery of the Faith (1 Timothy 3:9). 11. The mystery of Godliness (1 Timothy 3:16). 12. The mystery of Iniquity (2 Thessalonians 2:7). 13. The mystery of the Seven Stars and Candlesticks (Revelation 1:20). 14. Mystery of Babylon the Great (Revelation 17:5,7). 15. The mystery of the Woman (Revelation 17:7). This mystery in Revelation 1:20 deals with the spiritual representation of things in Heaven versus things on earth. The spiritual expression in Heaven of the churches appears to be seven candlesticks; the angels representing these churches are seven stars. The mystery deals with these seven churches representing all of church history.
