SHARP TWO EDGED SWORD: The description concerning the sword is literal—it is a "two edged sword" projecting from the Lord's mouth. Upon His return, the Lord will destroy His enemies with this weapon mentioned in Revelation chapter one. The description of Christ's return shows when He will use this sword. Revelation 19:11-15
The sword protruding from the Lord's mouth is sharper than any other sword, including any physical sword in someone's hand or verbal sword exiting a man's lips. Hebrews associates this sword with the word of God. Hebrews 4:12 This sword is sharp enough to pierce the heart. David offers another aspect of a sword in someone's mouth. He described someone who would butter you up with his words. The words, like a sword, cut him to the heart. Psalm 55:21, Psalm 57:4
Isaiah reveals the context of the Second Coming (Isaiah 11:1-10). Jesus Christ is going to smite the earth and slay the wicked. The "breath of his lips" refers to Him speaking words. His words will have the power to destroy His enemies
Joel 2:11
Zechariah offers another description when Christ's feet touch down on the mount of Olives (Zecharaiah 14:1-5). The word of God is powerful, even now, when it proceeds from man's lips today. When people take the Lord's words and speak them with the breath of their mouths, these words can be "like a sharp sword." When used correctly according to God's precepts, "Thus sayeth the Lord" is like a sharp sword. Isaiah 49:2
The sharp sword is in His mouth, and when a man speaks God's words, it is LIKE a sharp sword from our mouths. Timothy points out that God gives all scripture by inspiration. 2 Timothy 3:16
