The Gizzards to Share Jesus
This message dates back to 2012 and we take a look at some of the minor prophets like Habakkuk and Haggai during the days of Cyrus, Darius Zerubbabel and Zechariah.
Living for Jesus each and everyday, speaks louder than a one day rally.
I support standing for Biblical values and others who do… but I'm a bigger fan of living and being spent for the glory of God.
Haggai — When God is altering the natural
God's wisdom and knowledge are considered to be our strength, our might and our stability in this world that we're passing through (Isaiah 33:6 ; Daniel 2:20-23 ; Ephesians 6:10). And when we lack His wisdom and knowledge, we cannot operate in the fear of the Lord nor will walk by faith (Proverbs 1:7 ; 9:10). The consequences of this results in what they were doing. What were they doing in Jerusalem and Judea? They were doing their thing... and missed what God had been doing for years to reveal their wayward hearts.
All of God's work is significant... even when it's a temporary shadow like a temple. Because His work, even in the temporary, is helping us look to greater and glorious things to come. This is clearly seen in both chapters of Haggai.
But in His mercy, and for His glory, He graciously entered their failure, sent a messenger to open their eyes and gently turned their hearts and ways back to Himself, that they could walk in His best and not what they created for themselves. He worked, and it worked for them... how about for you and I?
