In this Sunday School lesson, covering Gal. 3:8-9, we see how the Gospel was not just preached to Abraham and his physical descendants, but that it was intended by God to also be preached to the Heathen. First, we look at the foresight of the Scriptures, in preaching the timeless Gospel long before the New Testament. Then, we see that the spiritual blessing to which Paul refers is only available in the Messiah. Then, we see that these spiritual blessings are only given to those who are made righteous by their faith in the Gospel. Then, we see that the Jews neglected, and even rejected, the Gospel that they should have been preaching to the Heathen. Then, we see the extent of the reach of the Gospel, which has been made available to all people. Then, we see the oneness and equality of those who are in the family of God. Then, we see that those who are in Christ ought to be faithful, just as Abraham was. |
