Great Sermon! I am a pastor, and our church is looking at how to grow. I downloaded this sermon with that in mind. I have great respect for Pastor Caldwell's preaching and how he presents God's Word, so I wanted to hear what he had to say.
I was delighted to hear some of my own attitudes and thoughts reflected here. More importantly, I was challenged to hear some of my tendancies shown in the light of true Biblical growth.
Specifically, for those familiar with the sermon, I have taught the 2nd, 3rd and 4th points at my church. (preaching, error, spiritual health.) At the same time, I have tried to think of how to draw people to the church.
One thing said in this sermon convicted me. In the NT, the apostles weren't looking for ways to attract crowds. They presented the gospel and the crowds came to them.
So I have a lot to pray about and consider. I am glad for the sermon.
