How to be a better soul winner?
Now, that's a great question. The right way is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. What He's done, why He did what He did, who He did it for, what He's doing right now and what He's going to do.
He who wins souls is wise... (Proverbs 11:30). They are wise in the sense that they see the need but even more so that they know how to effectively communicate the answer to that need. Why? They have given their priorities and purpose to Him who given them their wisdom. To give place and priority to God (the fear of the Lord) is the beginning of wisdom.
They know, He and He alone saves... that means they know man can't save himself and we, as His servants, don't save anyone.
We're the vessel, the witnesses of Jesus' redeeming grace, who have been supernaturally empowered by the Holy Spirit and divinely equipped with the gospel of Jesus. And as His witnesses we have the humble honor of telling an unbelieving world and unbelievable message of God's saving work through His Son, Christ Jesus.
We testify of the evidence of Christ in us... and how He reached us in our sins, turned us from ourselves and rescued our lives. How He came to call us to faith and repentance and service of our God and King.
And when we're led of the Spirit, guided by the Scriptures, while praying for God to remove the covering of darkness over their eyes and ears and hearts of those we witness to, asking God to open the door of faith to them, as we share our hearts in loving sincerity to His saving work in our own lives, we've done what we can to share His story over our lives.
In a nutshell, we preach and teach Jesus verbally, visually and victoriously... |
