One of the characteristics of being in the flesh is you walk according to the flesh. One of the characteristics of being in the Spirit is you walk according to the Spirit. This does not mean a Christian never sins. It means a Christian walks according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh. It's the permanent indwelling ministry of the Spirit of God that guarantees that the life of the believer will be significantly and dramatically different than the life of the unbeliever. It just boggles my mind that people today say you can be a believer in Jesus Christ and have no evidence in your life. That's a denial of what Paul said - The righteous requirement of the Law has been met and fulfilled in those who walk according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh.
