And Jesus is a real threat to anyone and everyone who thinks seriously about him. If Jesus is King, it means we are not! It means our dethronement. It means you can't lead your life any longer by the unfettered outworkings of your immoral desires. If Jesus is who he says he is, you either love him or hate him! Jesus said: "Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." Deep down, people know the implications so they ignore the indications. Belief is not a matter of evidence; it is a matter of self-centeredness. Self is king and we are our own worst enemies!
