During my sweet time in the word this morning I was led over to the unequaled and irreplaceable wisdom of Solomon in Proverbs. We find in 1 Kings that David and Solomon spared no expense in building a house to make sacrifices to God and a luxurious home for himself. And he went out of his way to hire the best and most skillful craftsman to do the work.
Think with me for a moment? Let's consider the insight of Proverbs 18:16 and 22:29 teach us. Usually or we can say, UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS, it's an individual's gift or skill that makes room for him to have more influence and be sought out by people like King Solomon.
Our example of this, in today's reading, is Hiram of Tyre. He was a man well known for his extraordinary skills as a craftsman. Another interesting and providential fact about the brilliant architect is his birthright. His mother was a daughter of Israel from the tribe of Naphtali.
