As we begin another year we need to take heed to this word of exhortation – Let us press on to know the Lord. What it will mean for you in particular, to press on to know the Lord better? Let us not be so sure of ourselves as to think that since we have known the Lord for many years, that we do not need to know Him better. For Paul says in 1st Corinthians 8: 2 – "And if anyone thinks that he knows anything he knows nothing yet as he ought to know." So I want you to consider with me 3 questions which will help you to understand what this pressing on means for you. 1st of all – How do I press on to know the Lord if I have never been converted to Christ? 2nd – How should I press on to know the Lord if I am presently a backslidden Christian? And 3rd – How should I press on to know the Lord if I am presently walking closely with Him?
