In vv. 43-44, we see that bad fruit points to false teachers. We need to be observant of the fruit. In verse 45a, we see that good fruit points to true believers. We need to recognize transformation by regeneration. We and those who influence us need to have genuine, authentic faith, demonstrated by works. Finally in verse 45b, we see that it's a matter of the heart. We need to focus on a heart being changed by God.
