Saved From A Hoard of Demons
The Garasene demoniac was a picture of misery. He shows what happens to the person whose life is dominated and controlled by Satan and his angels. Conversely, Jesus shows what happens when He saves those held captive to the devil. In this man's deliverance is an emblem of our own. Though we may not have been demon-possessed prior to our salvation, we were nevertheless a pathetic mess. And then Jesus came to our shores and fixed us. Now we are clothed and in our right mind.
