The Lord deserves the first fruits, the very best of our time, talents and treasures and we must offer it to Him in faith. There is a cost in following Him. Great cost. BUT there are no alternatives. The world thinks there is. The world thinks if they don't believe in Jesus then He doesn't exist. We cannot define the terms and conditions of our lives: that is already done for us! If you follow Jesus, you will be blessed for all eternity. And if you follow Jesus, you will be rejected by others now. This world will no longer be your home. If you follow Jesus, you will leave the dead to bury their own dead. Jesus knows everyone's idol. Jesus knows perfectly what is competing in your heart with affection for him. Playing it safe with God, sitting on the fence, uncommitted, indifferent and comfortably numb, is not safe. If you don't follow Jesus, the cost is so incredibly high that it will never be paid off. "Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him." (John 12:25-26) O Lord, give us the grace not to be half-hearted. To be ALL in. God please gave us zeal with knowledge!
