It is the sufferings of Christ on your behalf, that are the basis of the strength that you have, to endure and to suffer for Him. The reason that Job went through these things that he did, was so that God would be able to show Him how very much He loved Him in Christ, for being a man of integrity. The reason that he could endure all of these things was because He had faith in God, and faith in Christ.
