“ Great Sermon! ” Pastor Parker, thank you for this enlightening sermon. It has cleared up a lot of things for me. So happy to know that the evidence that we are born again is not by our works that we do, but by our testimony that Jesus alone is our only righteousness before God and that we are sinners saved alone by His mercy and grace based on the imputed righteousness of Christ to our account in heaven. I know we are to do the works God has ordained for us, but not for our salvation. You have helped to make it clear in my mind that this is true.
I used to be a 7th Day Adventist and it is taught that we must keep the commandments and do good works as evidence of our faith to be saved. It was a heavy burden, as I knew I was unable to do either. Your sermons have truly helped me to see the true gospel of God's grace, which I need to hear over and over. Thank you so much.
