This sermon is a follow-up to the sermon “The Continued Egalitarian Attack upon Holy Scripture.” Why does the acceptance of egalitarianism often lead to the acceptance of homosexuality? Because when you embrace the novel and perverted hermeneutic of the egalitarians – you're embracing the very same hermeneutic employed by the so-called “Christian homosexuals.” This sermon examines and repudiates the hermeneutic of both. There is much Scripture and history in this sermon. In closing, the sermon makes a defense for the created order of God. The sermon points out that for 1900+ years all of Christianity stood four-square against egalitarianism, birth control and homosexuality. But now, in the last 75 years, Christianity has accommodated itself to all three. MercySeat.net 52 min.

Great Sermon! Hello, Pastor Trewhella. I have always wondered why feminism (egalitarianism, in this case) is linked to homosexuality. But after listening to this sermon, it all made sense. Thank you for shining light on a topic that many churches refuse to deal with.

Great Sermon! Amen, Bro Trewhella!!
Judy, I believe you are deceived by the feminist spirit of the age which is nothing new. God told Eve the woman will always try to usurp the man's authority and it is running rampant today in the churches as well as the world.

Great Sermon! Judy, After trying the belittling approach by making condescending comments on my sermon titled A Refutation of the Debased Theology of a Monstrous Regiment of Christian Feminists, I see here that you try the "let's act like a theologian" approach. You mistakenly assert that gender-nuetral bibles are needed because of the English language (which is not true in and of itself) and then you proceed to cite I Tim. 3:1 as an example of men imposing the male gender upon the text. The truth is that the context makes clear that men are intended by virtue of the very next verse which states that the overseer must be "the husband of one wife." Secondly, yes, I have read many egalitarians who support homosexuality and use the same novel hermeneutic to come to their egalitarian conclusions as they do their pro-homosexual conclusions. In conclusion, the only ones causing divisions are those of you in the egalitarian camp who are hell-bent on distorting Scripture. -Pastor Matt Trewhella
