When Jesus is WAY TOO Much for the demons and the darkness
So He departed... (Matthew 9:1)
Join me as we look at this account in Luke 8 from Marks perspective.
He left their region but not without first sending an ambassador of the kingdom to proclaim the power of God. Has God touched your area of comfort and convenient living and you have asked Him to leave? This is a classic example many today... spiritually attracted but not a submitted ambassador.
Why? Why did they not want Jesus disrupting their way of life?
Because they had not been interrupted by Jesus, invaded with His grace, influenced by His compassion, instructed by His command or imparted His identity him that he could proclaim His power as a new man living for His glory. that's why.
Do you have a story? How about one of freedom? I love the story and images found in Mark 5. We such a contrast of events and lives and the results of each or night a day.
There's much in the passage but a few things I picked up this morning.
When Jesus hasn't done anything for you... except cost you time, resources, stress, heartache and trouble you don't want anything to do with Him, much less for Him to hang around your neighborhood and cause more confusion, even though you've been in proximity of His wonder working power and a witness of redemptive grace.
BUT... when He's transformed your life, you'll beg Him to let you go WHEREVER He's going or go do WHATEVER He ask of you. (Mark 5:1-20)
Blessings, may each of you have a great and glorious day.
