By faith in Christ, we are more than conquerors in the face of tragedy and unrelenting opposition. The people whom God deeply loves are not exempt from suffering or painful circumstances. Sometimes our suffering is the consequence of our sin. As we look confidently to Christ, we must first face our foes. We must look to the God we trust and when a trial comes, reflexively run to Christ. God is our shield, glory, the lifter of our head and the prayer-hearing and prayer-answering God. By trusting God in faith, there is a perfect peace to enjoy in the midst of trials. We must also remember the help that God promises, that we have a confidence in Christ in the face of adversity.
