Further reason to conclude the rapture of the Church will happen before the seven year Tribulation include the fact that the rapture of the Church must happen before the man of lawlessness, otherwise referred to as the anti-christ, is revealed. With the rapture of the Church the Holy Spirit as the restrainer of Satan and sin is also removed from the earth opening the way for Satan's man to have his way in establishing his one world order. With the beginning of the Tribulation, so begins the “day of the Lord” as foretold in both the Old and New Testament prophecies.
Scripture also indicates the return of Christ for His Bride, the Church, is imminent. Imminent means at anytime, the next event, but it is not synonymous with being soon in clock time. Believers in Jesus Christ live in anticipation of Christ's coming for them not with the dread of facing the coming wrath of God upon the earth.
