The Body of Christ Rocks... and so do es the legitimate ministry and purpose of the gifts of the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12)
Notice the three times Paul reassured the Corinthians of the divine purpose, precedent, pleasure and priority God has placed upon His servants and His gifts for them.
"As He wills..." (v.11) He gifts each member of the body and manifest Himself through the gifting.
"As He pleased..." (v.18) He set each member of the body in their place in the body.
"As He Appointed..." (v.28) He authorizes each member of the body to fulfill their assignment, which they, and their calking, is a gift to the rest of the body.
"For the profit of all..." (v.7) the Spirit of God manifest Himself through the gifts of the Spirit for the profit of all the body.
The ministry of God's gifts, in the body of Christ, are given, applied and brought to light for the profit of the body, that the body can glorify Jesus through lovingly edifying the each other by reaching people for Jesus, teaching those we reach about Jesus and equipping those we teach to serve Jesus.
Gifts, grace, building up the body, love, faith, and hope cannot be separated. (1 Corinthians; Ephesians 4; Romans 12)
