INTRO: We are looking at phase two of the Pilgrim's Progress: the incredible journey of the Church age believer. We saw that phase one begins at salvation and ends at death or the rapture. In our last message we said that phase two begins at the rapture. We defined the rapture as the catching up of the Church to meet Christ in the air. Then we looked at 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Matthew 24:36-41 as evidence for the rapture.
I asked at the close of the last message what we might think of person who believed he had accurate information that several airplanes would be high-jacked and flown into the twin towers in New York, and he failed to let people know. I can tell you we would hold him in very low esteem to say the least. And what would we think of a preacher who believes he has biblical evidence that at any moment, all Christians will be raptured to glory, and those left behind will enter the most horrendous time, more horrendous than the twin towers by far, and he says nothing? Such is what I believe, and that is why I gave you some of the Biblical evidence for the rapture.
