Shechaniah is one of the lesser known characters in the Scriptures. He wasn't a somebody, neither was he nobody, critically he was part of the body. In the local church, we must move away from considering certain members to be more important and valued. We are members together. This relative nobody is used by God for this intervention at this particular time. We noted further how his manner demonstrated he was humble, repentant and also bold. The text would suggest that he himself had not actually committed this sin. However being part of the body, it affected the whole!
