The LORD gave his disciples specific instructions about doing alms and the manner of prayer. He taught us to do our alms in secret - not letting the right hand know what the left hand did. Moreover, he taught us to go into our closet (our secret place) and close the door, then pray to the Father in secret. He told us that if we would not forgive others, then the Father would not forgive us. What a stern warning for all of us!
