The Bible indicates there is a present kingdom that has existed throughout history. God rules as the ruler of this kingdom. This is distinct from the coming kingdom of bible prophecy.
The concept of a kingdom requires a ruler/king, a realm/territory and the exercise of ruling/reigning. The universal kingdom of God involves God's sovereign rule over all His creation because He is the Creator.

1. This kingdom exists without interruption throughout all time.
2. This kingdom includes all creation.
3. Divine control is usually exercised providentially.
4. Sometimes God exercises His control by direct means.
