The unforeseeable and unpredictable circumstances of life can either mentally or emotionally cripple us, setting us back, again and again or they can be a means to catapult us into greater degrees of significance.
I'm sure Hadassah had not seen her future turning out the way it did. She took each blow like a champ... and kept getting up, round after round, no matter how challenging the circumstances she was thrown into. And the degree of her significance reached an entire nation and beyond. She went from being an adapted orphan, raised by her cousin, in a foreign land, among foreign customs, to being taken from all that was familiar and thrown in among strangers, to be prepared for the bed of yet another stranger, with a chance to be his queen or one of his concubines. Like a river, she found way to overcome the landscape and bring life to those who needed her source of strength.
Yet, regardless of all these unforeseen things she chose to patiently endure, the depth and degree of her significance will deeply effect a nation and kingdom, lasting much longer than the temporary crown that has been placed upon her head. Glory...
