This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. This is how you live out your position; it is a position of responsibility. We do these 3 things because it shows the world and our brothers and sisters in Christ how we value our permanent position regardless of (and more than) our current condition. We declare how great our Savior is despite how awful our situation is. This is a powerful witness! This is how you show Jesus to the world!
When we are in the process of seeking, doing, and living in God’s will, we do it this way: we keep a joyful disposition, maintain a constant prayer life and cultivate a thankful attitude. You are called to glorify God with all you do, and that is doing God’s will. It is not, “look what I did” or “look what I can do for God”, or “look where God is leading me”, and not simply “look what God can do through me”, but it is “look at God through me” (Matthew 5:16).
God’s will is not a tool for us to find and to use, we are to become the tool for God to use to do His will. You don’t fashion yourself, He fashions you. When we will be doing these 3 things, God will able able to fashion us as a tool, as the instrument of His will. Instead of trying to find God’s will, we need to become God’s will. That will radically change your life for the glory of God. Be a tool in God’s hands and He will make sure you do His will.
