We have discussed the ridiculous mentality of those who reject "the God of the Old Testament" (as they say) because He is supposedly, "mean and vindictive". As though rejecting God will somehow make Him go away!
Well, in Exodus 22 we see the God of the Old Testament defending widows, strangers (aliens) orphans and others. And we emphasize how much we LOVE this God who grants eternal life to the undeserving but KILLS those who stand in rebellion against Him and against the helpless and hurting.
Exodus 22 closes with some great, thought-provoking material on holiness.

Great Sermon! People, and I include some 'Christians', would really like to make God go away. We can plainly see it in the new ministries that are springing up in America. They don't want the God of the King James Bible, so they give Him an unrealistic makeover to suit what they want to believe, and the way they choose to worship Him. This thinking makes it so much easier to look at the world and allow abortion, and to allow that when old folks get too old, sick, and useless, they will put them down the same as they would an old dog. They want to make the decisions that belong only to God. The last I knew, He has the power over life and death! How long will God linger and watch America, the nation founded on Him, make a headlong plunge into Satan's world? We ask ourselves everytime we hear the news, "How much worse can it get? When will the trumpet sound?" Oh, what a glorious day that will be when Jesus comes again! May God bless you, Brother Greg, as you continue to bring the truth found only in the King James Bible.
Pastor Greg was born two months after the Apollo moon landing in 1969 and was born AGAIN at the age of 19, entering youth ministry less than two years later and has now worked in various ministries for more than 30 years.
